Great tool to export data to from ESRI Arc GIS if you're mapping. You don't have to start a project from scratch if you're adding on to something that was mapped in ESRI many years ago.
There's an infinite number of features. You can do so much in AutoCAD - 3d sketches, 2d sketches.
Sometimes it's difficult to find the best way to complete a task. You can type commands or use the menus and sometimes it becomes overwhelming.

Nothing serious, AutoCAD Map is a very simple platform, especially for the AutoCAD users.
The problems we are solving is placing surveyed information in real world locations. The benefits of this is locating features in the world that we need to locate such as manholes, drainage inlet, etc...
I like the map feature allowing satellite photos to be placed in real world coordinates.
The least helpful about AutoCad Maps is it has a steep learning curve. You need to know not just AutoCad but surveying, GIS, and latitude and longitude.
The ability to create Geo-referenced solutions and then to be able to add AEC CAD data to them is very beneficial from a business perspective.
I like the way I can combine Geo-spatial mapping with CAD.
I think that when editing shape files to create new amended data it is not as intuitive as other GIS packages (like QGIS or Global Mapper).
