AutoCAD MEP review

Yes, I will definitely recommend this software to my colleagues who are working in designing & who are in their learning phase to do something in the field of MEP or designing work. It is a good software which helps us to visualize & design the services. So definitely I will recommend this to all.

Pros

It is a very good software for designing & drafting the services in 2D formats, where we can design our services with proper dimensions & proper formats. Z& it helps customer to meet his requirements.

Cons

What I dislike about this software is that sometimes it takes little time to open some command & sometimes it lags a bit while working so it reduces the productivity some time.

The great advantage of using AutoCAD MEP it is a part of AutoCAD so you can directly convert the 2D CAD's into 3D without any further imports. Also it can be shared to various 3D platforms.

Cons

3D modelling process as compared to Revit takes time in AutoCAD MEP.

I am drafting and designing 2D maps for a tower system in Kuwait. I would normally use Revit and my laptop’s fan would go crazy. But the add on to AutoCAD made it easier for my laptop as well!

Pros

For me, it has to be the UI that is just well ordered and the flow of commands feels intuitive

Cons

I would prefer to see a brief description of some of the items without needed to read a lot from the help menu.
